Creative Access Announces the Purchase of Our Ellicott City Building!

Creative Access is proud to announce the purchase of our historic Ellicott City building! After leasing and occupying the building for 6 years, in late 2009 Vonda Peterson, sole owner of Creative Access, made the decision to purchase the building. The three story limestone former bank building is listed in the Ellicott City historic registry. The majestic building stands tall with 30’ high ceilings on the main level with a picturesque mezzanine that overlooks the Tiber River. The original bank vault with its decorative copper inlay was still in use prior to Creative Access’ occupancy. The building, built in 1895, has withstood several floods in the area including the flood of 1972 caused by Hurricane Agnes, where the water level was well above the first floor.

Upon occupancy in 2003, Creative Access renovated the interior to include new mechanical and electrical systems, restoration of the original wood molding and wood flooring on the first and second levels and new lighting throughout. Special touches such as working fireplaces add to the distinct charm of this beautiful structure.

During the upcoming year, Creative Access will be sporting more than a new owner occupied building. Insight 180, a branding and marketing firm in Ellicott City, is working to develop a new logo and an updated web site for the firm.
