 Just 17 Months after Slidell Memorial Hospital broke ground on its new Regional Cancer Center, the 51,000 square foot world-class facility was up and running.
The facility, designed by AE Design, Inc. of Atlanta centralized all current cancer treatments underway at SMH for diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation oncology and expanded services and technology. LeVino Jones Medical Interiors provided full interior design services for this center.
The newer advanced radiation technology and modalities include Image Guided Radiation Therapy RapidArc Technology for radiosurgery and radiation treatment and high dose Brachytherapy which reduces treatment time and side effects.
In addition to infusion and radiation treatment areas, the center includes a research library, chapel, appearance center retail component and medical oncology physician offices. |
