| Market demands focused on short lead times, limited forecast visibility and tight financial constraints have driven many to standardize on common components minimizing customization. If an off-the-shelf product can meet the majority of performance objectives, one can leverage the availability and cost effectiveness of using standard motion platforms. |
| A broad standard offering of the following provide flexibility in machine design and the easy of availability. |
| 1. Linear stages |
| 2. Rotary stages |
| 3. Goniometric (tilt) stages |
| 4. Vertical (Z) stages |
| The initiatives to reduce part variations and overall supplier base have established the need to have accessibility to a wide range of motion devices that can meet numerous application requirements. Nanomotion’s family of standard stages does exactly this. The family of FB Series motion platforms offer a wide range of sizes, positioning resolution, and performance criteria to satisfy both simple and demanding application requirements. |

 |
| FB Linear Stages |
The FB Series of linear stages are available for single and multi-axis applications. The stage configuration utilizes crossed roller bearings, a linear optical encoder and Nanomotion’s HR4 or HR8 motors. |
| Stages are offered in 50mm, 75mm, 100mm and 150mm widths, with a wide range of travels. All FB stages are easily configured in XY and XYZ orientation. |
 |
| FBR Rotary Stages |
The FBR Series of rotary stages are available as a single axis or easily configured with other linear or tilt axes. The stage utilizes a crossed roller rotary bearing with a rotary optical ring encoder and either single or dual HR2 motors, on a 30mm radius. |
| The stage has an exceptionally low profile and through bore, with a 60mm output mounting diameter. Other sizes, up to 200mm diameter have been configured. |
 |
| FBG Goniometer Stages |
The FBG series of Goniometric stages offer angular motion for tip or tip/tilt utilizing a curved ball race, optical encoder and either an Nanomotion HR2 or HR4 motor configuration. The series are designed with (4) different size stages to allow for multi axis mounting offering a tip & tilt motion around a common radius, with ±10 degrees of travel. |
 |
| FBZ Vertical Stages |
The FBZ series of Z wedge stage leverages the advantage of a driving wedge, yielding vertical motion, with access to all sides and top of a work piece. A linear slide is driven horizontally, while the top surface translates vertically, based on a rigid bearing securing the top plate to the bottom plate. |
| The FBZ075 is 75mm square offering 10mm travel vertically. Larger size stages, up to 200mm square with 25mm travel are available. |
