Attend the ESRI Climate Change GIS Conference
Spot Image is co-sponsoring the ESRI 2008 Climate Change GIS Conference Program that will be held during the ESRI UC in San Diego. Sessions and exhibits featuring the applications of geospatial technologies in climate change research will run Aug. 5-7 in Ballroom 20 and Convention Center rooms 24, 26 and 29-32.
Be sure to drop by one of the Spot Image sessions where Planet Action activities will be discussed: Aug. 5 at 3:15 pm in Room 32A, and Aug. 7 at 1:00 pm in the Climate Change Theater and from 1:30 - 4:30 pm in Room 31C. For more information. »
Astrium purchases majority share in Spot Image
Astrium, Europe’s leading space company, has announced the purchase of further shares in Spot Image from the French Space Agency (CNES). This is a significant deal resulting in Astrium holding 81% of Spot Image and therefore becoming the majority shareholder.
Infoterra & Spot Image will work together as the Earth Observation Division of Astrium Services. This purchase reaffirms Astrium’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the entire Earth observation value chain – satellites, spaceborne & airborne data, ground segment, application solutions and information management & distribution.
